Clear daily communication

Use simple, direct and respectful communication. Confirm schedules, tell the family early if you may be late, and report important events involving the children. Keep a shared calendar or written weekly plan when possible. Repeat important instructions in your own words to make sure you understood them. Asking questions is a sign of responsibility, not weakness.
