Privacy and trust in a shared home

Living with a host family requires respect for private spaces, personal information and family conversations. Do not share photos of children, the home, documents or private family matters without explicit permission. Ask before inviting visitors and follow agreed rules for shared spaces. The au pair also has a right to privacy, rest and a personal space. The host family should not enter the au pair's room without a valid reason or ignore agreed free time. Trust works both ways and grows through reliable behaviour.
